Our Community Association was incorporated on October 30th, 1989 as a non-profit Corporation under the name ‘Pirates Glen Community Association’. (Often referred to as The PGCA)
The Association is the registered legal owner of Blocks B, E, F, G, H, I and J as shown on Registered Plan 42 (Harvey). These blocks include the canal (Block B), the lake front park (Block I) and the community dock areas (Blocks E & L). The deeds of the owners in Pirate’s Glen include a right-of-access to Pigeon Lake through the Association owned blocks. The Association is responsible for the operation and maintenance of these blocks.
In general. the purposes of the Association are to promote the interest of the residents of Pirates Glen and to operate and maintain the common areas deeded to the Association.
The main work of the Association is:
i) the maintenance of the lake front park and other common areas;
ii) the construction, operation and maintenance of the community docks;
iii) dealing with the Township Council on matters of local concern, i.e. the operation and maintenance of the municipal water works system that we share with Alpine Village as well as planning and zoning matters that pertain to, or affect us;
also
iv) liability insurance coverage for Association owned lands. (Your membership and docking fees contribute towards this work)
